Serbian born, of Montenegrin heritage yet brought up and raised in Australia, Zoran Rakočević has embraced a multi-faceted paradigm of life. He cherishes the diverse European-Australian multicultural aspect of his upbringing and endeavours to express the richness of this experience through his music. His ambitious recordings which he refers to as ‘works in progress’ are reflections of his musical perception of the various experiential stimuli gathered and registered in his life’s journey. He loves performing the Serbian ‘kolo’ or traditional folk dance with meticulous detail but is equally excited with composing original and meaningful English pop material as evidenced by his recordings which are soon to be released.
